Changing the time in your Toshiba CTX/CIX

It's that time of year again! For customers running on older Toshiba CTX/CIX or DK processors, please follow the instructions below to update your phone system's time. Bare in mind, that voice mail systems keep time also and must be updated independently.

Newer Toshiba CIX/CTX System Time Change

Method #1 (preferred)

  1. Dial #652
  2. Enter time (hhmmss format)
  3. Press #

Method #2 (if method #1 is unsuccessful)

  1. Press HOLD
  2. Dial *#*#1*2*3*
  3. Dial 000, Press HOLD
  4. Dial 902, Press HOLD
  5. Push second red flexible button
  6. Enter time (hhmmss format)
  7. Press HOLD
  8. Press HOLD
  9. Dial ##HOLD

Older Toshiba DK System Time Change

From the operators telephone pick up handset ONLY
  1. Dial #652
  2. Enter time (hhmmss format)
  3. Press REDIAL

Time must be set as Military Time . The format for the time is hhmmss.

Example of hhmmss
090000 would be 9:00 AM
134500 would be 1:45 PM

ALL Toshiba Voicemails

(*Not required for CTX 28 and CIX 40)

To change the time in a Stratagy Voice Mail System, customers can use a Stratagy Admin or Stratagy ES Administration connection. Also, all Stratagy systems can have their time changed through the phone by accessing the System Administrator’s mailbox.

How to manually change the time for Toshiba Stratagy voice mails:

  1. Dial the pilot number for voice mail. This number is usually 400.
  2. Press the # key and then the * (STAR) key.
  3. Dial 999 for the administration mailbox.
  4. Enter the security code for this mailbox. If you do not know your security code for this mailbox, please email changes@cti-stl.com for instructions.
  5. Choose 8 for System Administration.
  6. Choose 6 for Set System Date and Time. Follow the instructions.

The system lists the menu options. In case you forget, all you have to do is listen to the prompts.
